Embassy of Switzerland in India

As the official representation of Switzerland, the Embassy covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations with India and Bhutan. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic and financial affairs, legal affairs, science, education and culture.

The embassy premises in New Delhi

Switzerland maintains a wide network of representations across India and Bhutan. Besides the Swiss Embassy in New Delhi, there are Consulates General of Switzerland in Mumbai and Bangalore, Honorary Consulates in Kolkata and Chennai, a Swiss Business Hub in Mumbai, a Swissnex office in Bangalore, a Pro Helvetia Swiss Arts Council in New Delhi, and a Switzerland Tourism office in Mumbai. An Honorary Consulate in Thimphu, Bhutan, supports the Embassy in promoting Switzerland’s interests and in case of emergencies involving Swiss citizens.

Responsibilities

The Swiss Embassy represents Switzerland’s interests in the country and provides PAN-India visa support, along with consular services for residents of the following regions: Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Odisha, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Assam, Tripura, Jammu & Kashmir (UT), Ladakh (UT), Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh (UT), Lakshadweep (UT), Jharkhand, Meghalaya, and the Kingdom of Bhutan.
